Like a piece of paper
During pregnancy, I felt fragile—like a sheet of paper: delicate, easy to tear.
Worries, fatigue, hormones, and change pressed down, bending me.
Yet paper teaches a paradox: the more it folds, the stronger it becomes.
In this project, some prints are folded into themselves, others left open—mirroring how I was, and how I am.
Fragments of my diary appear on pages stretched by weights. They do not break; they resist, they hold.
This work is an invitation to speak more openly about pregnancy—its magic and its heroism—with less prejudice and more truth.
